Nelson V. Soracco, CPP, President & CEO
Nelson Soracco   Nelson is a licensed Private Investigator and founder of Century Protective Services, Inc. Prior to CPS, Inc., Nelson spent over twenty years as the Director of Security for Sotheby's Holdings Company where he developed innovative security programs for corporate headquarters, regional offices, and high profile events world-wide.

In addition to his investigative skills, his expertise also includes developing and implementing security agent protocols, training disciplines, electronic systems integration, and executive protection and transportation management.

He has been an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security since 1996 and a certified OSHA General Industry compliance professional. With over 30 years of diversified corporate security experiences, he personally ensures the precise delivery of CPS's services and is always available to oversee a project, an account, or speak with a client upon request.

John P. Byrne, CPP, VIce President and General Manager
John P. Byrne   John has over twenty years of private sector security management and loss prevention experience. He has managed multi-million dollar business units and is a proven leader in the industry. John is board certified in security management as a CPP (Certified Protection Professional) through ASIS (The American Society of Industrial Security).

John also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, from Pace University and has extensive experience in customizing security programs for a diverse customer base accross a wide array of industries.

Developing true partnerships and fully understanding customer expectations and corporate cultures while utilizing impactful communication, responsiveness, and follow through is the centerpiece of John’s management approach.

Evelyn Valentin, CFO
Evelyn Valentin   Evelyn is a graduate of Monroe College with a B.B.A. in Information Systems and Accounting and a licensed Commercial Insurance professional. As our Chief Financial Officer since 1999 she is vital to our organization. Evelyn oversees and maintains our financial stability and compliance.

Her expertise and the establishment of sound relationships with major financial institutions have resulted in Century Protective Services, Inc. being financially capable of acquiring and supporting opportunities of any scope or size.

As the accounting and office manager, Evelyn ensures that all proposal and job cost estimates are accurate and clearly explained. All financially-based customer inquiries are dealt with promptly and directly. Evelyn effectively administers to all employee benefits and compensation in a timely manner to ensure a productive and motivated workforce. Evelyn is also President & CEO of our subsidiary company Century Protective Solutions, Inc. a Minority Woman Owned Business Entity (MWBW).

Kiersten H. Gennarelli, Director of Human Resources
Kiersten Gennarelli   Serving as the Director of Human Resources since 2006, Kiersten is responsible for Century Protective Service's Human Resources Administration, Employee Relations, Recruitment and Compensation, Risk Management, Training and Employee Development.

Kiersten is a seasoned Human Resource professional with over twenty years of experience, having worked for prestigious companies such as Goldman Sachs, Spherion, and InScope an IT software developer.

Kiersten holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Utah and is an active member in SHRM – Society for Human Resource Management.

Anthony P. Chiarlitti, Director of Training and Employee Development
Anthony P. Chiarlitti   Anthony P. Chiarlitti recently retired as the Chief of Police of the Pleasantville Police Department (NY) where he served for a total of 31 years. As part of his duties, Chief Chiarlitti was responsible for coordinating emergency planning and operations of emergency services in Pleasantville in the event of a serious incident or disaster. He has been active in developing school emergency plans with his local school district and during his career maintained a close working relationship with school officials to enhance the security of local schools.

Chief Chiarlitti has been an adjunct professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Security at Pace University in New York since 1999 where he teaches courses related to the field of criminal justice, community relations in the criminal justice system and government administration. He also is an adjunct professor at Mercy College where he teaches courses in corporate and homeland security and terrorism. He holds a Bachelors and Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Iona College.

Jariel Felton, Operations Manager
Michael T. Aurora   Jariel Felton possesses a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College and over ten years in the Security Management, Law Enforcement Administration and the security/public safety sectors. He is also certified by Personal Protection Consultants Inc. (PPC) in Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT) and Practical and Tactical Handcuffing (PATH). He has been The Director of External Affairs (DEA) in the Human Services sector as liaison with all law enforcement, probation, and parole departments. He has also served as Chairman of the Security and Police Committee as well as the Incident Review Board Committee, addressing all neighborhood concerns and was appointed Workplace Violence Trainer for the sector. Since 2015 he has been a Site Manager with CPS, Inc. and recently elevated to an Operations Manager overseeing many high profile clients in the Tri-State Area.

Jenny Felippelli, Business Finance Manager
Michael T. Aurora   Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mercy College with a specialty in Business Management. She has over 8 years experience in business management & accounting/bookkeeping, having worked for high net worth clientele in the entertainment industry and multi-million dollar companies preparing budgets & managing the day to day financials. Jenny’s responsibilities as the Business Finance Manager at CPS is to manage all of the company financials to ensure we are operating efficiently and effectively as our business continues to grow.
